Hamilton County Growth Alliance Launches to Advocate for Pro-Growth Policies and a New Arena

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 12, 2025

Cincinnati, OH – The Hamilton County Growth Alliance (HCGA), a newly formed 501(c)(4) organization, has officially launched to advocate for smart, pro-growth economic policies that drive investment, create jobs, and enhance the long-term prosperity of the region. HCGA’s immediate focus is ensuring that Hamilton County prioritizes the construction of a modern, state-of-the-art arena in downtown Cincinnati—a critical project for the region’s future as a premier destination for sports and entertainment.

As a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, HCGA is structured as a social welfare organization, meaning it can engage in advocacy efforts, public education, and lobbying to promote policies that serve the broader economic interests of Hamilton County. This designation allows HCGA to play a leading role in shaping public discourse, building coalitions, and driving policy solutions that support sustainable economic growth.

HCGA is led by Jay Kincaid, a Cincinnati-based consultant with decades of experience in government affairs, public relations, and economic development. As Founder and Executive Director, Kincaid will spearhead HCGA’s efforts to ensure that investment in the county’s sports and entertainment infrastructure is strategic and forward-thinking.

“Cincinnati cannot afford to fall behind while peer cities invest in modern arenas that attract top-tier entertainment and major sporting events,” said Jay Kincaid. “A new arena will strengthen our economy, increase tourism, and create opportunities for local businesses.”

Cincinnati City Council Member Seth Walsh expressed his support for HCGA’s mission, emphasizing the importance of a new arena. “Cincinnati is a top-tier sports city, but we’re being held back,” said Walsh. “It’s time for our region’s leaders, business stakeholders, and community members to come together to build a new arena. If we want to compete with other cities for national events, we need the infrastructure to support them.”

Looking ahead, HCGA will launch a new arena media campaign next week to coincide with the start of March Madness, highlighting the economic impact that modern arenas have on their cities and the opportunity Cincinnati is missing. The organization will also launch an advertising campaign to engage the public and build momentum for this initiative.
